Average housing price climbs to MOP97,406 in June

The average price of housing in Macau rose to MOP97,406 (US$12,202) a square metre in June, 29.1 percent more than a year earlier, official data show.

The Financial Services Bureau says the average price rose by 28 percent to MOP94,264 on the peninsula, by 23.5 percent to MOP100,402 on Taipa and by 52.2 percent to MOP118,936 on Coloane.

The number of homes sold in June fell by 17.6 percent to 609.

The number sold fell by 22.9 percent to 472 on the peninsula and by 5.6 percent to 109 on Taipa, but rose by 115.4 percent to 28 on Coloane.
