August gambling revenue second highest in this year

New figures released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau show a 17.6 percent year-on-year rise for Macau’s monthly gross revenue in gambling, the second highest increase in this year so far. August’s revenue amounts to MOP30.7 billion, a MOP4.6 billion rise in comparison to the same month last year and over a billion patacas more than the previous month. The accumulated gross revenue also saw a 16.2 percent surge to MOP231.6 billion. The figures echo analysts’ optimistic outlook on the future of Macau’s economy.
