Assembly passes amendments to 2015 budget

The Legislative Assembly has passed on final reading the bill amending the government’s budget for this year.

The bill changes the budget to take into account the government’s expectation that its tax revenue will be lower than first thought because of the slump in gaming.

The amended budget now envisages government revenue of MOP120 billion (about US$15 billion) 22.4 per cent less than before, and government spending of MOP83.7 billion, 0.1 per cent more than before.
