April gaming revenue falls 38.8 pct to MOP19.2 bln

Macau’s casino gross gaming revenue declined to MOP19.2 billion (about US$2.4 billion) last month, 38.8 per cent less than a year earlier, the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau says.

The sum was the lowest in any month since January 2011.

Business Daily reports that Sands China Ltd had 24.1 per cent of casino gross gaming revenue last month, replacing SJM Holdings Ltd as the market leader.

The newspaper says SJM Holdings had 21.7 per cent, Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd 20 per cent, Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd 12.8 per cent, Wynn Macau 11.8 percent and MGM China Holdings 9.6 per cent.
