Air Macau H1 net profit drops 15 pct to RMB82 mln

Air Macau Co Ltd’s net profit fell to RMB82 million (US$13.4 million) in the first half of this year, 15.2 percent less than a year earlier, our sister publication Business Daily reports.

The company did not say why and the airline’s performance registered only a brief mention in the unaudited interim financial report of its parent company, Air China Ltd.

Air Macau’s first-half revenue rose by 6.8 percent to RMB1.25 billion. Revenue from its aviation business was RMB1.2 billion.

The airline carried 854,900 passengers in the first half, 15.2 percent more than a year earlier, and its passenger load factor rose by 0.9 percentage point to 66.9 percent.
