Strong growth for Macau banks

Macau’s banks are having a strong 2013 so far.

Their operating results for the first four months of the year are up by 33.5 percent year-on-year.

According to data from the Monetary Authority, the city’s banks posted an operating profit of MOP2.3 billion (US$287.5 million) for the period between January and April, up from the MOP1.7 billion recorded one year before.
