March casino revenues to grow up to MOP32 billion

Japanese brokerage house Nomura has raised its full month estimate for March to between MOP31 billion (US$3.9 billion) and MOP32 billion, a 24 to 28 percent increase year-on-year.

Nomura said the first 24 days in March delivered MOP25.1 billion of gaming revenue in Macau, which implied a month-to-date run rate of MOP1.04 billion/day.

The brokerage house added that revenue over the past few weeks has been consistently strong, which suggests that the strength is driven not only by win rate, but also by robust volume.

Macau casinos are expected see a record breaking month in March.
