Airport handles 480,000 passengers in November

Macau’s airport handled about 480,000 passengers last month, 6.5 per cent more than a year earlier, the operator says.

Macau International Airport Co Ltd says the facility handled 4,600 takeoffs and landings in November.

The company attributes the increase in passenger throughput to 34 per cent more passengers flying between Macau and Taiwan and 55 per cent more passengers using the airport to transfer from one flight to another.

Its director of marketing, Eric Fong, told TDM Radio that he expected passenger throughput to be 5.7 million this year, 5 per cent more than last year.
