October package tourists decrease to 804,100

The number of package tourists visiting Macau fell to 804,100 in October, 19.8 per cent fewer than a year earlier, official data indicate.

The Statistics and Census Service says mainlanders visiting on package tours decreased by 17.9 per cent to 669,000.

The number of package tourists from Taiwan fell by 38.4 per cent to 40,000 and the number from South Korea fell by 36 per cent to 23,000.

Only Japanese package tourists came in greater numbers.
