Govt announces new chief of the gaming regulator

Assistant Public Prosecutor-General Paulo Martins Chan will become director of the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau on from December 1, Secretary of the Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac has formally announced.

Mr Chan replaces Manuel Joaquim das Neves, who has resigned.

“The bureau will need to study how to enhance its supervision of the local gaming industry and lead the industry to develop healthily,” Mr Leong said.
