Estate agent sniffs housing upturn in the air

The slide in the prices of housing in Macau is slowing and the trend is showing signs of turning upward, Centaline (Macau) Property Agency Ltd thinks.

Centaline Macau says the downward trend in the prices of flats in newer developments became shallower in the third quarter of this year.

The estate agency keeps an index of prices of such property.

Centaline Macau director Jacky Shek Po Tak infers from the index: “There is more room for home prices to increase, instead of continuing to drop. We anticipate the property market may bounce from the bottom.
