Sales of souvenir food chains dwindle, paper says

Two sellers of souvenir food say their sales have decreased this year, Business Daily reports.

The newspaper quotes the managing director of the Choi Heong Yuen Bakery chain, Alan Wong Yeuk Lai, as saying monthly sales are now about one-fifth lower than a year earlier.

The Hong Kong Chinese-language newspaper Sing Tao Daily quotes the owner of the Koi Kei Bakery chain, Leong Chan Kuong, as saying he expects his company’s sales to be about one-fifth lower this year than last, Business Daily reports.

The Choi Heong Yuen Bakery chain has 14 shops in Macau and the Koi Kei Bakery chain has 21 shops.
