Official expects 32 mln visitors to Macau in 2015

Secretary of Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng has said he is sure that the inflow of tourists to Macau will recover and that the city will have over 32 million visitors this year.

“We are very confident that the number of visitors will be similar to the figures we planned for at the beginning of the year,” Mr Tam said on TDM television.

In the first seven months of this year Macau had 17.4 million visitors 3.5 per cent fewer than in the corresponding period last year.

Last year the city had 31.5 million visitors.
