July package tourists decrease to 820,000

The number of package tourists visiting Macau fell to 820,000 in July, 22.3 percent fewer than a year earlier, the Statistics and Census Service says.

The service’s data indicate that the number from the mainland shrank by 19.1 percent to 686,600.

In the first seven months of his year number of package tourists visiting fell to 5.76 million, 2.9 per cent fewer than in the corresponding period last year, of which 4.66 million were mainlanders, 0.7 percent more.
