Macau’s plastic credit limit rises to MOP19.5 bln

The number of personal credit cards on issue in Macau had grown to 870,062 by June 30, 2.7 per cent more than three months earlier, the Monetary Authority of Macau says.

The authority’s data indicate that the credit limit on all these cards combined was MOP19.5 billion (about US$2.44 billion), 6.7 per cent more.

The amount owing on the cards was MOP2.1 billion. The proportion of the amount owing that was overdue for over three months was 1.06 per cent, a touch less than three months earlier.
