June hotel occupancy rate falls to 73.9 pct

The average occupancy rate of hotels and guesthouses in Macau was 73.9 percent last month, 10.6 percentage points less than a year earlier, the Statistics and Census Service says.

The service’s data indicate that the average occupancy rate of three-star hotels was 75.7 percent, and that of five-star hotels was 75.3 percent.

Macau had 102 hotels and guesthouses containing about 30,000 guest rooms at the end of last month.
