June visitors decrease 7.6 pct to 2.25 min

Macau had nearly 2.25 million visitors last month, 7.6 per cent fewer than a year earlier, the Statistics and Census Services data indicate.

The number was the lowest in any month since September 2012.

Mainlanders made up about 1.44 million of last month’s total, 10.1 per cent fewer than a year earlier.

The city also had fewer visitors from Hong Kong, its second-biggest source of tourists.
