Average price of housing drops 12.6 pct in May

The average price of housing in Macau fell to MOP90,134 (about US$11,267) per square metre in May, 12.6 per cent less than the month before, official data indicate.

The Financial Services Bureau says prices of residential space fell on Coloane and Taipa, but rose on the peninsula.

The number of homes sold fell to 582 in May from 664 the month before.

The average amount of floor space in each of the homes sold remained 68 square metres.
