Macau tourism receipts fall to US$50.8 bln in 2014

Macau’s annual receipts from tourism dropped to US$50.8 billion (MOP405.7 billion) last year, 1.8 per cent less than the year before, the World Tourism Organisation says.

The organisation’s Tourism Highlights report for 2015 says Macau had about 13.5 per cent of the Asian and Pacific market’s US$376.8 billion in receipts from tourism last year.

Mainland China had 15.1 per cent and Hong Kong 10.2 per cent.
