Estate agent sees steadier housing market in H2

The president of the Association of Property Agents and Realty Developers of Macau, Ung Choi Kun, has forecast that the city’s housing market will settle down in the second half of this year.

Mr Ung told reporters that the average price of residential space had fallen to MOP8,000 per square foot from over MOP10,000 per square foot.

He predicted only slight fluctuation in housing prices in the second half, saying full employment would prop up demand, countering the effects of the slump in gaming.
