Orders for exports from Macau factories dip in Q1

Macau’s factories had an average of 2.58 months worth of export orders on their books in the first quarter of this year, the regular survey by Macau Economic Services found.

The survey report says the figure in the first quarter was 26.5 per cent lower than in the preceding quarter.

Of the export manufacturers surveyed in the first quarter, 18 per cent expected business to improve in the subsequent six months and 69.3 per cent expected business to stay the same, the report says.
