Tourism industry keeps expanding

Macau’s tourism industry kept expanding last year, with more travel agencies, tour guides and hotels operating here.
Data provided by the Macau Government Tourist Office shows that the number of travel agencies last year stood at 169, up by 8 percent in comparison with 2011.
There were also more tour guides: in 2012, their ranks reached 1,643, 125 more than in 2011.
The number of hotels likewise increased, to 102, five more than in 2011.
