Make Macau a financial centre, leading banker says

Macau Association of Banks chairman Ip Sio Kai has called for the government to turn Macau into an international financial centre.

Mr Ip told a forum on thePolicy Address for 2015 that the government should exploit Macau’s status as a special administrative region, the city’s low taxes and its economic freedom to attract foreign money.

He said Macau’s other advantages were its legal system and accounting standards.
