Q4 gaming pay rises 8.2 pct to MOP20,860 a month

The average monthly pay of gaming employees was MOP20,860 (US$2,610) in the fourth quarter of last year, 8.2 per cent more than a year earlier, the Statistics and Census Service says.

The service’s data show the average salary of croupiers rose by 7.7 per cent to MOP18,000.

The gaming industry had 56,608 employees at the end of last year, 3.2 per cent more than a year earlier, of whom 44.6 per cent were croupiers.

The industry had 841 vacancies, 57.7 per cent fewer than a year earlier.
