Q4 visitor spending drops 13.9 pct to MOP14.05 bln

Visitors to Macau spent MOP14.05 billion (about US$1.76 billion) on everything except betting in the fourth quarter of last year, 13.9 percent less than a year earlier, official data show.

The Statistics and Census Service says average spending per visitor fell by 20.2 per cent to MOP1,757.

Spending per head by mainlanders, who make up the bulk of visitors, dropped by 27.3 per cent to MOP2,038.
