Credit Suisse thinks that if gambling junket operators keep going out of business, it will reduce revenue from the premium mass market for gaming.
The bank says in a note that the VIP and premium mass markets for gaming overlap, many gamblers playing in both.
The note says Macau’s casinos get between 35 per cent and 40 per cent of their mass-market gaming revenue from the premium mass market.
Credit Suisse expects more VIP gaming promoters to go out of business after the Lunar New Year holidays.
