Melco Crown Q4 net income falls to US$1.12 bln

Macau casino operator Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd says its net income fell to US$1.12 billion (MOP8.96 billion) in the fourth quarter of last year, about 19 percent less than a year earlier.

The company told the NASDAQ that its net revenue had declined and attributed the drop to less VIP gaming business and less mass-market gaming business.

Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation fell by nearly 30 percent to US$278.6 million.
