PARKING SPACE PRICES INCREASE 47 PCT IN 2014

The average price of a parking space rose by 47 percent last year, an estate agent that specialises in such property says.

CarparKing Co Ltd general manager Chan Lik Li says a parking space in a Taipa housing development cost MOP2.05 million (US$256,658) at the end of last year and a space in a commercial centre in NAPE cost about MOP1.97 million.

Mr Chan said the number of spaces sold last year fell by 60 percent.

He forecasts that prices will rise by 20 percent this year.
