October exports jump by 19 pct to MOP829 mln

The value of Macau’s merchandise exports rose to MOP829 million (US$103.79 million) in October, 19 percent more than a year earlier, official data show.

The Statistics and Census Service says re-exports increased by 24 percent to MOP658 million and domestic exports increased by 2 percent to MOP171 million.

The value of merchandise imports rose by 16 percent to MOP8.14 billion, giving a trade deficit of MOP7.31 billion.
