Estate agents expect housing prices to rise more slowly or even fall in the second half of this year as fewer homes are sold, Business Daily reports.

“Homeowners have been less aggressive in a market that sees really slow transactions,” the newspaper quotes Centaline (Macau) Property Agency Ltd director of Jacky Shek Po Tak as saying.

“I think it’s possible that both home prices and transactions may drop, mainly because there’s no new supply of homes in the market.”

Business Daily quotes Anzac Realty president Nestor Ng as saying he expects the average price of housing to keep rising in the second half, but to rise by less than 10 percent.
