Average price of housing rises 25 pct in Q2

The average price of housing rose by 25 percent in the second quarter of this year to MOP111,542 (US$13,973) a square metre, official data show.

The Statistics and Census Service says the average price of housing bought off the plan rose by 48 percent to MOP185,886 a square metre, and that the average price of completed housing rose by 9 percent to MOP86,969 a square metre.

The number of homes sold in the second quarter was 2,462, or 24 percent more than in the first.
