HOUSING OFFICIAL SAYS 20,000 FLATS IN THE PIPELINE

Housing Bureau deputy director Kouc Vai Han has said about 20,000 flats will soon be added to the housing stock.

Ms Kouc said in response to a Legislative Assembly member’s inquiry that these homes would be made available in “a short period of time”.

She said about half the flats would be in public housing.

The government was also taking action to increase supply in the private housing market, Ms Kouc said.
