Airport handles more passengers, flights in May

Macau International Airport’s passenger throughput was 430,000 last month, 16 percent more than a year earlier, the airport operator says.

The airport’s air traffic movements increased by 6 percent to 21,000.

The number of Macau people using the airport during the Labour Day holidays was higher than a year earlier.

The number of passengers going to or from Southeast Asia fell slightly owing to political unrest in the region, the airport operator says.
