Barclays sees May gaming growth losing steam

Barclays says average daily revenue in Macau’s casinos was MOP886 million (US$110.96 million) from May 12 to 18, having been MOP1.1 billion earlier in the month, our sister publication Business Daily reports.

The newspaper quotes the bank as forecasting that gross gaming revenue will be between MOP32.1 billion and MOP32.8 billion this month, between 12 percent and 14 percent more than a year ago.

Barclays originally forecast annual growth of 17 percent this month.
