Barclays Capital says annual growth in Macau’s gaming revenue during the Labour Day holidays should have been in the “mid-teens” this year, our sister publication Business Daily reports.
The newspaper quotes the investment bank as saying it is hard to compare gaming revenue during the Labour Day holidays this year, which fell between May 1 and May 4, with gaming revenue during the Labour Day holidays last year, which fell between April 29 and May 1.
Barclays Capital forecasts that daily gaming revenue for the rest of this month will be MOP1 billion patacas (US$250 million), meaning this month’s revenue will be MOP33.6 billion, 17 percent more than a year earlier.
