City has 25,600 hotel rooms being built or planned

Government data show 18 hotels were under construction in Macau at the end of March.

The Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau says it was appraising plans for another 25 hotels.

Together, the 43 developments would add up to 25,600 hotel rooms to the city’s stock.

Of the hotels being built, 10 will be on the peninsula and have about 1,000 rooms, five will be in Cotai and have up to 7,500 rooms, two will be on Taipa and have 1,000 rooms and one will be on Coloane and have up to 200 rooms.
