Macau service sector workers among the glummest

Macau’s service sector is ranked second from bottom in the Mystery Shopping Providers Association’s international smiling index, TDM has reported.

The public broadcaster said the association had surveyed employees in various service industries in 37 economies, and that Macau had scored 54 points out of 100.

Hong Kong was ranked fourth from bottom of the international smiling index, with 61 points.

TDM quoted a service sector group as saying the government should help with occupational training of service workers.
