30 pct of SMEs face closure in 2014, survey finds

A survey by the Macau Small and Medium Enterprises Association has found that about 12 percent of small businesses closed last year.

The Portuguese-language Jornal Tribuna de Macau quotes the association’s vice-president, Daniel Iong, as saying the survey found 30 percent of SMEs were in danger of closing this year.

Mr Iong said most of the closures would be due to lack of manpower.
