Housing prices rise by 7.4 percent in February

The average price of housing was MOP90,407 (US$11,315) a square metre in February, 7.4 percent more than the month before, Financial Services Bureau data show.

The number of homes sold in February fell to 457 from 301 the month before.

The average price for incomplete flats was the most ever at MOP143,279 a square metre.

The previous record, MOP120,077 a square metre, was set in May, when estate agents and developers rushed to complete transactions before a law to better control sales off the plan came into effect.
