Broker expects March gaming revenue to grow 18 pct

Casino gross gaming revenue is on track this month to grow by 18 percent from a year ago, to MOP36.8 billion (US$4.6 billion), according to Sterne Agee.

The broker says March table-only revenue was MOP11.2 billion up to Sunday.

It says the revenue trend is about 5 percent lower than last month, which set a new record.

The early results are “encouraging”, given that the National People’s Congress is in session in Beijing, Sterne Agee says.
