Analysts see record gaming revenue in February

Gross gaming revenue this month is on track to exceed MOP36.4 billion (US$4.6 billion), the most ever.

Sterne Agee analyst David Bain has increased the forecast for annual growth in revenue to 35 percent from somewhere between 26 percent and 28 percent.

“Macau table-only gross gaming revenue is MOP30.33 billion through February 23. The February run rate with five days of gross gaming revenue to go is around 42 percent year-on-year or MOP38.4 billion, which would exceed October’s monthly record by over 5 percent,” Mr Bain says.

Barclays predicts annual growth in revenue of at least 33 percent this month.
