The Secretary for Transport and Public Works has revealed that the government is considering launching new measures to promote a healthier real estate market, according to TDM News. Measures might involve speeding up approval procedures for property developments. As housing prices surged recently, real estate agents have been urging the government to accelerate application procedures to increase the supply of housing units. “We are concerned and will work on approving statutory plans and private development projects. We are also working on accelerating the approval procedures for some of these projects,” he said. Lau Si Io also promised to increase transparency in the real estate market to promote sustainable growth.
