Croupier jobs for residents only, says Chui

Only permanent residents are permitted to be croupiers, Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On has said, after another gaming company suggested allowing migrant workers to do the job.

Mr Chui said on Friday the government’s policy to reserve croupier jobs for residents was unchanged, but said labour policy could be framed to suit business needs.

His comments were made after SJM Holdings Ltd chief executive Ambrose So Shu Fai asked the government to consider relaxing its policy.
