Chief executive, leading officials score pay rise

A law increasing the salaries of 149 senior figures in the government, including Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On, comes into effect next month.

The law grants officials a 10-percent pay increase, today’s Official Gazette says.

Mr Chui will make MOP269,725 (US$33,716) a month, including representation expenses.

Executive Council members, Legislative Assembly members and judges will also get pay rises.
