13 hotel projects and 74 building projects underway in Q3

According to the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT), in the third quarter (Q3) of this year, a total of thirteen hotel projects were under construction. This represented an increase of two projects in comparison to the previous quarter. In addition, 27 hotel projects were currently undergoing approval processes. If those schemes are approved, approximately 24,000 new hotel rooms will be made available. The current 13 projects are respectively located in Macau Peninsula (8), Taipa (1) and Cotai (4), and are expected to provide about 8,470 hotel rooms.  Meanwhile, a total of 74 building projects were under construction, which were expected to provide about 8,830 units, 6,832 parking spaces for cars and 2,267 parking spaces for motorcycles. In Q3, six private residential projects of 76 residential units were approved. Moreover, there were another four applications for residential projects of 478 units.
