“Career planning is never a one-time decision, it is an ongoing journey of discovering yourself and exploring the world. This year’s programme centres on the theme of ‘Tourism+’, integrating culture, technology and artificial intelligence to provide participants with diverse industry exposure and hands-on experiences. Through these opportunities, young people can better understand future workplace trends while developing cross-disciplinary thinking and innovative capabilities. We will continue leveraging our platform to collaborate with different sectors in nurturing the next generation of talent with global perspectives and innovation.” said Ms. Loh Seow Yuen, Managing Director of MSS Recruitment and hello-jobs.com.
During the ceremony, Ms. Loi I Weng, Vice President of the Macau Women’s General Association, reflected on the programme’s achievements and encouraged participants to keep exploring their potential and bravely pursuing their dreams. 40 high school students who completed the 2025 programme were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance in career planning, leadership, and social participation. Several outstanding alumni were also appointed to the organising committee to help pass on their experience and contribute to future planning.
The 2026 programme attracted over 200 applications, with 60 participants selected for the six-month leadership and career development programme. Now in its fifth edition, the programme has benefited more than 250 young people, establishing itself as a trusted youth development initiative recognised by both parents and the education sector.
Aligning with Macao’s strategy for moderate economic diversification and its position as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”, the upcoming programme will deepen its exploration of the “Tourism+” diversified economic development. New features include workplace immersion experiences, study visits to Hengqin, and specialised industry visits incorporating themes such as cultural arts, technological innovation, and artificial intelligence. The programme has invited professionals from new media, cultural communication, and tech innovation sectors to serve as mentors, helping participants grasp evolving industry trends while boosting their creativity, technological applications, and cross-border collaboration skills.
