The managing director of MSS Recruitment Ltd, Jiji Tu, says job openings are chiefly in the service sector, but Macau’s university graduates are uninterested in such positions, Business Daily reports.

The newspaper quotes Ms Tu as saying in an interview: “University graduates may prefer office work, but then a large number of positions created are service. It can be waiter, cleaner, dishwasher. So there is a mismatch, as well as supply not meeting demand. There’s a high turnover rate.”

She says the new casino-resorts in Cotai will create more demand for labour, which supply will fail to meet, so keeping the rate of employee turnover high.
